You went to bed way too late last night because you were doing your homework, reading or you know, catching up on your procrastination until 3 in the morning. You hit the snooze button a few more times more than you should have and suddenly you realize you have only about 25 minutes to get ready, have some breakfast and actually making it to class looking put together. You may think “whatever, I’ll just look ugly today”, well that should never cross your mind! Remember: it’s better to arrive late than to arrive ugly (okay, maybe not if you have an exam or something important). Anyway, you don’t have to worry about that anymore, because I bring you some tips to look cute every day, even if you wake up an hour later than you originally planned the night before.
This one’s tough for me. I organize my closet, it looks amazing and everything is where it should be. But as soon as I have to decide what to wear, it gets all messed up all over again. I really have to work on my organization skills, because if you can’t see all the clothes you have, you might end up wearing the same things every day because you might forget you even have some other items.
#2 Take a shower at night
I always shower at night because I’m a really heavy sleeper and I never wake up in time to get the chance to take a shower. I really recommend this: take a shower, blow dry your hair and put it into a ponytail before you go to bed. You will not only get to sleep for a little while longer, but you will avoid having to pass on the blow drying in the morning because you didn’t have time and end up having a bad hair day and also you’ll evade having to use dry shampoo (ick). If you do end up having a bad hair day anyway, put your hair up in a high ponytail or a messy bun!
#3 Wear basics with statement pieces
Sometimes you might have the time to actually work on what you will wear, but most of the time you have about 5 minutes to decide what you will put on your back that day. Wearing basics such as jeans and a tank top might sound really boring, but if you accessorize it the right way, it will do wonders. Wear a pair of jeans with a black tank top and throw on a statement necklace and a killer blazer, or maybe a dress paired up with combat boots. It’s all about styling!
#4 Work on a day-to-day makeup routine
You might want to pass out on the smoky eyes. I mean we all love that, but save that look for going out at night! Put on some foundation, maybe concealer to hide those circles under your eyes, some blush, curl your lashes, put mascara on, some lip gloss and you’re ready to go!
After following these 4 steps, you will be ready in less than 20 minutes and you will have time to eat some breakfast and not just gulp on a cup of coffee! Remember that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, skipping it won’t make you lose any weight!
