What to Wear to the Airport

5:17 PM

It's summer and most of us are already on vacation, probably planning an exciting trip or counting the days to hop on an airplane already! Wearing the perfect outfit for the airport is extremely important no matter how long your flight will be. You're going to be sitting either in between 2 people or next to someone in a tiny seat for at least 2 or 3 hours and you need to be comfortable. You're probably going to be uncomfortable already, so why wear uncomfortable clothes on top of it? Also, think about all the walking, dragging bags and all the annoying things you have to do before and after the flight...comfort is a must. However, comfort doesn't mean unstylish. I promise, it doesn't.

I hope you like these outfit ideas and are willing to give them a go! I know I will...

Top from Abercrombie, Leggings from H&M, Cardigan from H&M, Bag from MANGO, Shoes from H&M, Hat from H&M
On my previous post (click here) I mentioned that if you're going to take a hat with you on your trip you should try to work it into your outfit for the plane so that it doesn't get all squished and ruined insidre your bag. Also, Leggings are always comfortable and no matter what people say: leggings are pants, they are. Wear comfortable shoes because you're going to do a lot of walking, and try to wear a pair that's easy to put on too (you know, in case you want to secretely take them off in the plane...) Lastly...mark my words: take a sweater!! Planes are cold most of the time and if you're not cold, you can always use it as a pillow.

Sweater from Chicnova, Jeggings from H&M, Tank from H&M, Bag from Forever 21, Shoes from H&M
I recommend taking a tote bag or a big bag where you can stash all your documents (passport, immigration forms, etc.), always carry a pen, headphones, portable phone charger, etc. If you wear a chunky sweater like the one above, please wear a tank or a cami under it because you might get hot. This is also a good alternative if you're going to a warm destination. You could pack a pair of shorts in your bag as well and change before you land!

Tank from H&M, Skirt from Splendid, Jacket from Maurices, Scarf from MANGO, Bag from MANGO, Shoes from H&M

You might think that wearing a skirt to an airplane must be the most uncomfortable thing ever, but not if you wear the right skirt! A soft, long skirt will do the trick and you will look that much more put together! I think this last outfit was my favorite! Mixing textures like fleece and denim always does the trick, right?

What do you think about these outfits? Was this post helpful? I hope you have an amazing time wherever it is you're going! Let me know in the comments below or drop me a message in social media to let me know what you wore!
